The first time I had ginger tea made with fresh raw ginger was at the Chopra Center in Carlsbad, CA while attending "Seduction of Spirit" a yoga & meditation retreat. During the day we would sip on fresh tea made with a slice or two of ginger, lemon & honey. There are so many benefits of this yummy golden tea, it tastes spicy and is very soothing. You can make up one cup at a time or brew a big batch of ginger and refrigerate to enjoy throughout the day.

According to the Chopra Center ginger tea is one of the oldest medicinal drinks. From aiding the digestive system to opening inflamed airways, it can act as a health-promoting elixir for the full body.
"Everything good is found in ginger,” states an old Indian proverb.
The aromatic, spicy root has long been used in both traditional and Western healing systems to make tea. Tea made from ginger has high levels of vitamin C and amino acids, as well as various trace elements such as calcium, zinc, sodium, phosphorus, and many others. Ginger tea brings with it a host of powerful health benefits.
